Free pdf How Does A Radar Works?

Using this kind of high tech instrument you will determine the possible and unseen motion from different aspect of life etc. But the most important thing is to know its purpose how its work, why and what, those are the big question.

How Traffic Radar Works
The popular concept of a radar antenna - a dish mounted on a tower, rotating to sweep the
horizon - applies to this category. The rotating dish produces the familiar radar sweep you
see on TV weather reports. These sophisticated radars sweep with a modulated beam to
measure speed of objects, distance to those objects, and general shape of those objects as an
aid to identification by a ground crew.

How does a Speed Camera or Radar Gun work?
To understand how radar detectors work, you first have to know what they're detecting.
The concept of measuring vehicle speed with radar is very simple. A basic speed gun is
just a radio transmitter and receiver combined into one unit.

How Radar Works
Radar is something that is in use all around us, although it is normally invisible. Air traffic control uses
radar to track planes both on the ground and in the air.

Photo Radar
Work Zone Safety Photo Radar Speed Enforcement, DRCS - Digital Radar Camera System sub
The sub DRCS processes the photos taken of vehicles receding. As the vehicles drive away from the vehicle, a signal is sent to the flash unit which provides light for the rear license plates on a car. The signal is then written to the hard drive located on the main DRCS.

Three dimensional radar analysis
You should know how radar works. It sends out pulses at approximately the speed of light which is 300 million m/s. The time between pulses is about 1.6 milliseconds.

Digital Radar
Once found only on large vessels, radar is now a common feature on small craft. The early
sets were very basic but today’s small craft radar is a very sophisticated piece of kit and now
includes the anti- collision features MARPA of large sets as well as target processing software,
formerly only found in military sets.

Free What is the best electrical transmission lines underground or overhead

Underground Electrics
Electric power lines or conductors move electricity over long distances. Most transmission lines have three conductors. Aboveground conductors are uninsulated bundles of wire separated by about 5 to 24 feet from each other, depending on the line voltage and suspended on poles or towers. Open air circulating between and around the three conductors cools the wires and dissipates the heat that’s generated by transferring electricity.

Evaluation of Underground Electric
While underground distribution lines are fairly common in the United States, the use of underground lines for higher-voltage transmission purposes is infrequent. Underground lines constitute
a small proportion of transmission lines in Virginia and throughout the United States.

DEMAND FOR UNDERGROUND LINES
Electric transmission lines have been around for more than a century, and in North America, they are predominately built over head. There is currently an estimated 200,000 miles of transmission lines in the United States and only 5,000 miles of those lines are under ground.

Over and Under Transmission Lines Cables

Voltage Electric Transmission
the voltage is reduced by using a number of step-down transformers as for domestic purposes we use the voltage of 220 Volt and 50 Hertz frequency. In the voltage electric transmission for the long distances, the loss of power in the transmission lines is I2R, where I is the electric current that flows through the wires and R is the resistance of the transmission wires.

Overhead vs, Underground
When an electric utility considers whether or not to construct high-voltage underground transmission facilities, it must evaluate the following considerations: Power Outages, Network vs. Radial Installations, Line-Length Challenges, Cable Selection, Construction Impacts, Easement Requirement, Electric and Magnetic Fields,

Should Power Lines be Underground?
Underground has several noteworthy advantages, Underground costs more to
install and maintain, resulting in increased electric rates, Underground lines are not necessarily more reliable than overhead lines.

STUDY ON THE COMPARATIVE
Merist of OVerhead electricity transmission lines versus underground cables. The objective of this study is to provide an independent view on the relative merits of constructing and operating OHL compared to UGC. Technical characteristics, reliability, operation and maintenance factors, environmental impact, possible health issues and costs are regarded.

General Consideration
Undergrounding system can be classified broadly in three major types: Oil filled cable system high and low pressure types, solid dielectric cables, compressed gas SF6 and nitrogen insulated transmission lines

Electric Human
Extraordinary Claim or Dangerous Stunt?, Jose can conduct electrical current through his body to light bulbs and even burn paper with its discharge. In the following video he demonstrates this amazing power. Note that this is not limited to high voltage, low amperage sources like electrostatic generators or small Tesla coils.

Extraordinary Electrical Conductivity
This is understandable, given their high electrical conductivity, and the incredible sharpness of their tip (because the smaller the tip’s radius of curvature, the more concentrated will be an electric field, leading to increased field emission; this is the same reason lightning rods are sharp). The sharpness of the tip also means that they emit at especially low voltage, an important fact for building low-power electrical devices that utilize this feature.

How Does A Potato Produce Electricity Experiment Engineering Tutorial

We somehow laugh about whatever electrical experiment crazy thing had done.
Imagine even fruits can produce or generate electricity I thought its only
for food but now we can used for other thing that can supply your small appliance.

Materials Needed in Making the expirement

3 potatoes
2 lengths copper uninsulated wire (6 cm long)
2 small galvanized nails (must be galvanized for the zinc) or 2 pieces of zinc (6 cm long)
3 insulated copper or aluminum wires with alligator clips on both ends (30 cm long)
1 LED clock that works with 1 – 2 vdc (volts direct current) with battery removed
1 small light bulb that works using 1 -2 vdc
1 light bulb socket

Make a Battery from Potato
Use of Copper and Zinc electrodes and Sulfuric acid as electrolyte is a proven method for this process.
We repeated this experiment with some other fruits and all resulted almost the same. In all cases the produced voltage is between 1 and 1.5 volts, and in all cases they do not produce enough current to turn on a small light.

How to Make a Potato Battery
Another renowned Italian scientist Allesandro Volta was quick to understand the principle acting behind the above phenomena. He realized that there was something inside the frog’s flesh which reacted with electricity to produce the twitching effect.

How does a potato generate electricity?
Positive electrical charges and negative electrical charges attract each other. The positive charge in the metal will attract negatively charged electrons. The other, different metal, may have a negative charge, having reacted with the chlorine in the salt in the potato.

This Week's Experiment - 212 Potato Clicks
You can detect the electricity by connecting the cell to an electric volt meter, if you have one. If you don't, then you can easily detect the electricity with headphones or an earplug from a radio, CD player, etc. Don't worry, we won't hurt the headphones. If you look at the plug from the headphones, you will see that the metal part is made of two or three sections. Put on the headphones.

Potato Electricity
Generating electricity from potatoes means that you would need a potato and two metal rods. The conducting rods need to be of different metals. For instance, one rod can be zinc and the other can be steel, copper or other.
