LabVIEW Digital Signal Processing
Alot of signal processing books start out describing what a discrete time sequence is, the advantages of DSP over analog methods, and the like. This book skips all that and assumes that you already know enough about DSP to get started and you probably have some very good references regarding where to go when you do not understand something. Instead this book focuses on putting that DSP knowledge to work using LabVIEW. This book assumes that the reader has a good grasp of many of the complex issues encountered in DSP and digital communications and also is at least skilled enough in LabVIEW to build a VI. When necessary, the book will dive into the heart of signal processing topics and their implications will be explored. Certain topics will be explained in enough detail so that the reader will know there is no hand waving or mystery involved.This book tries to take the following approach begin at the beginning and build strong fundamentals with each chapter building on the previous ones. Following that theme, the book is divided into three parts: Getting Started, Building Blocks, and finally, Building a Communication System.

Introductory Circuits
Many were devoted exclusively to linear circuit theory, ignoring the many useful circuits that my students would later encounter. Some decided to teach some of the mathematics required: but my mathematics colleagues do that far better than Others decided to treat the underlying physics: I prefer to make a well-defined start with the relations imposed on currents and voltages by components and connections otherwise, where do you stop? Back emf? At the end of each chapter I have included useful problems with a selection of answers.The principal reason for learning how to analyse the behaviour of a circuit is that we shall eventually want to design one or try to understand one that has been designed. So to provide a context for the entire book we look briefly at the design process to see where the material of this book fits in and where it doesn’t.

Practical Guide to the Packaging of Electronics Second Edition
Thermal and Mechanical Design and Analysis, The arrangement of the chapters in this edition is somewhat different from the first. There are 15 chapters now as opposed to 11. Also, there are
seven appendices. In addition, there is now a chapter on chemical attacks. Hopefully, the information flows more naturally in this configuration. I did not pay enough attention to details and assumed that the reader would make the leaps across developing formulas and derivations with me. I realized I was mistaken during a workshop when one of the participants
brought this to my attention. And it provides the basics that an engineer mechanical, biomedical, or electrical needs to keep in mind when designing a new system or troubleshooting a current one. Furthermore, this book serves program and engineering managers, as well as quality assurance directors to refresh their basics every once in a while. I hope that this work is of service to them as well.
